The Memphis Library Foundation held its first ever crowdfunding campaign, through the RocketHub platform. Thanks to 57+ supporters, 66% (or $6,570) of the $10,000 goal was met, for needed Cloud901 equipment to be purchased. Thanks to generous donors Jack and Sandra Jones, a match of what was raised brings the total to $13,140. What a huge success~ Thanks to all who supported this endeavor.

Hundreds of people gathered at the Library in February, 2015 for the groundbreaking and naming announcement for the new teen lab. Over 700 submissions were received and the winning name was “Cloud901.”
Mayor AC Wharton, along with members of the Library staff, Foundation board, and teen council were there to celebrate the occassion.
